KICKSTART Before and After School Care is an advocate for providing a fun, active, caring, and nurturing atmosphere for children while providing opportunities for their physical, social, spiritual, cognitive, and emotional development.
Through FLIGHT framework, we believe children’s identities are shaped throughout their growth within personal, social, and cultural landscapes. Developing recognition of self, co-constructing their identities, experiencing self-confidence, self-respect, and ability to take initiative are ways for children to develop a sense of self.
Children should be able to express feelings, concerns, and needs while also pursuing interests, passions, and strengths. In addition, develop a sense of other through supporting, encouraging, and listening to their peers. As early childhood educators, our goal is to provide the best care for children and recognize that children deserve our best practices on a daily basis.
